Here's another cut and paste style file from my vintage clothing collection.....

This one is for the tomboy in all of us!  Mirroring the Beatnik trend emerging this season.  The thinker of the pack who is increasingly aggravated by those scantily clad teenage girls of today who's moto is reflected in their 'less is less' fleshy ensemble's.  Preferring to take the intellectual high road she mixes vintage patterns with bits from her boyfriends closet.  Smalltown boy is an old school dance tune with upbeat inflections.....echoing this 90s 'Degrassi High' inspired direction.

THE DEVIL'S CRAYON

Good vs. Bad is our ever present internal conflict.  This is for the girl who repetitively and instinctively chooses the latter.  Falling from grace to the fiery depths of hell....with a develish grin plastered to her innocent face.  Sheer black lace and religious effigy's.....this girl is bad to the bone.  She is all about excess and pleasure.  Exuding a flashy, balsy, break-the-rules attitude...she only seeks to corrupt and condemn.

DANCING BAREFOOT

I watched a Patti Smith documentary the other day and was blown away ......  I always knew of her...... but didn't know a lot about her?  Besides her obvious musical talent....she's got this great unkempt androgynous thing goin on with her get up.....love it!  

So I spent a few days listening to anything and everything Patti Smith.  'Dancing barefoot' has got to be my fav.....

The song made me think about....

....all shades of purity; flesh, white, cream.  Full length skirts with an abundance of fabric.  Subtle monochromatic texture through jacquard's.  Sheer layering.....

Sooooo....I did a liddle photo shoot with some vintage clothes I've been hunting down and this is what I think 'dancing barefoot' looks/ feels like....
